jumpAgrade is an award-winning not-for-profit organisation that supports Leaving Certificate students from disadvantaged backgrounds across Ireland, as they prepare for their exams. We partner with schools to provide personalised online tuition to students in need so that they can achieve their full potential and reach their progression goals.

jumpAgrade was founded in 2017 and was among Ireland’s first online tuition providers. We have worked with over 100 primarily DEIS schools nationwide, impacting thousands of students’ confidence, grades and future prospects.

Tutors are responsible for the following:
Participation in required jumpAgrade training
Providing 1-1 and small group tutoring for Leaving Certificate students in your subject area.
Meeting students synchronously online for recurring sessions
Sharing online resources and assignments with students
Assessing student work and providing formative feedback
Working with the jumpAgrade team to support students
Maintaining their own class schedules
Completing any duties required for the successful delivery of the programmes

Essential
Relevant third level qualification to degree/masters level
Comfortable using technology and digital tools
Irish Teaching Council registered and qualified teacher


Desired Experience
Subject matter expertise: curriculum and exam paper knowledge
Experience providing tuition in a 1:1 or small group setting
Experience of e-learning environments and knowledge of online teaching
Experience with working with students of various abilities, from diverse backgrounds

Terms and Conditions
This role offers a competitive hourly rate for provision of weekly 1-1 and small group tuition, running throughout the standard Irish secondary school academic year. Tutors must dedicate a minimum of 2 hours per week to jumpAgrade, and attend all required training sessions. The appointment will commence subject to online interview, reference check and Garda Vetting.
