Additional Information:
St Mark’s Special National School is a co-educational school, under the patronage of Kare, for pupils who have been assessed as having a mild general learning disability. The current student age profile is between the ages of 11 and 18. We aim to provide a caring, learning environment which facilitates the nurturing and development of each pupil's full educational potential. St. Mark's recognises that all pupils are individuals with personal gifts, strengths and needs, and we offer individualised education to all pupils, which is centred around their own personal Individual Educational Plan. This individualised learning is dovetailed with national programmes, which results in certification at Levels 1,2 or 3 for Junior Cycle students and QQI Level 1,2 or 3 modules at Senior Cycle. Our aim is to give the children a caring and inspiring academic atmosphere to enable them to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a commitment to continue to lead and strengthen the ethos of the school.
