Francis Street CBS, an Edmund Rice school, is a Catholic School under the patronage of the Archbishop of Dublin and the trusteeship of the Edmund Rice Schools Trust.
The school seeks to appoint an Administrative Principal beginning on 06/01/2025.
Applicants must be registered with the Teaching Council of Ireland (Route 1 - Primary), be fully Garda vetted and have a minimum of 5 years teaching experience in a recognised primary school in Ireland.
The roles and responsibilities of the post of Principal Teacher are determined by the four domains of Leadership and Management as set out in chapter 4 of Circular 0044/2019.

In addition, the successful candidate will have
• a registered certificate to teach Religious Education in a Catholic Primary School and demonstrate an understanding and a commitment to the school’s Catholic ethos and an ability to support and promote the Charter of the Edmund Rice Schools Trust (ERST). The Charter is available here

• An in-depth knowledge of the Primary Curriculum and a range of teaching experience.
• An understanding and knowledge of Special Education Needs, as well as a commitment to inclusion and diversity in education.
• Excellent people management and communication skills and demonstrate an ability to foster positive relationships with pupils, parents and the wider community.
• Proven leadership skills and a commitment to school self-evaluation
• A commitment to and evidence of relevant continuing professional development
Candidates should be able to display evidence of an understanding of DEIS and its implementation and the ability to foster the involvement of parents within the school community.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with the strong inter-personal skills that are required to lead and maintain a happy, active, and progressive school community. The appointment will be subject to current vetting requirements and occupational health screening.
