An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The Board of Management of Cloontagh National School invites applications from highly dedicated and qualified candidates for the position of an SNA maternity cover for the infant day (0.83). The Role of The SNA is as set out in Section 5 of DES Circular 30/2014.
- A Level 5 or Level 6 Qualification in Special Needs Assistance.
- Child Protection training and certification.
- Experience of working with pupils as an SNA.
Candidates must be willing to uphold the Ethos of the school. The candidate must display a strong work ethic, flexibility, and the initiative to work independently and as part of a team. They must show a willingness to be involved in school activities.
They must always respect the dignity and confidentiality of the pupils.
The appointment will be subject to current vetting requirements, occupational health screening and confirmation of qualifications.
Applicants who are deemed to be members of the SNA Supplementary panel, with supplementary panel rights, must furnish a certified copy of a completed PF1 form at the time of application.
